Shyam Pappu was Born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1957 and matriculated with O-Level from Rishi Valley School (www.rvs.org). He received Bachelors of Science in Economics from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia (www.gmu.edu).
In his 25-year professional tenure, Shyam has been involved in economics research and forecasting working at a major telecommunications firm, developing forecasts for key National, State and Regional economic series which were used by company-wide planners, demand forecasters and others and also analysts outside the company. He has also published economic reports, authoring and co-authoring economic and economic development studies. Shyam also had a dual career as a Software Engineer/Project Manager working on large scale Mainframe applications, for Billing, Marketing and Access Systems. Shyam also worked on HUD/FHA project helping on FHASL deliverables.
Shyam and his wife Denise who are both Project Managers, live in Croom, Maryland. In the recent past they have owned and run Queenstown Inn Bed & Breakfast in Queen Anne’s county. One of Shyam’s goals is to pursue Sailing and be able to sail back and forth to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida from the Bay and DC area. For now they have settled for cruises to the Caribbean (I wonder if he can sail back and forth and do it without all that food….). Denise is involved in crafts with her mother and sisters.
